This elegant custom handcrafted steak knife set was recently completed in our workshop. The set features our exclusive designed blades and handles, plus includes stainless steel contoured bolsters, and signature very rare old-growth curly koa wood handles with a matching curly koa wood presentation display box.

The blades for these knives, like all of our custom steak knives, have been individually hand-forged by a master bladesmith in Japan to our exclusive design specifications using traditional forging methods.  The knives were made using high quality VG10 Japanese stainless cutlery steel from a solid bar of steel. There are no welded components. This bladesmith also makes his own billets individually for each knife. Every part of the process is handmade to the highest standards of quality.

The knives have been created in the SanMai clad style with a special grind featuring a 'hairline' polished finish. The bladesmith's signature 'hamon' line is discreetly visible on each knife. Every knife is signed in kanji by the bladesmith.

They possess a clean, modern and elegant look and like many beautiful creations made by Japanese artists, have a simplicity that is very difficult to actually make by hand.

Each knife handle has been carefully handcrafted with an exquisite specimen of rare, exotic curly Hawaiian koa wood. When paired with the stainless steel bolsters and accented with both black and white spacers, they make an elegant presentation for any dinner party.  Finishing details include black accent spacers along the spine of each handle and solid stainless steel pins.

The knives will look gorgeous when displayed in our matching koa wood presentation box. Upgrade rare old-growth 5A+ grade curly koa wood was used throughout this set to create a box of exceptional beauty. Inside the presentation box, are two removable trays, each lined with black velvet.
